Micromax sent out review units of its latest smartphones to reviewers and the unboxing videos of the Micromax IN Note 1 and IN 1b are already out. In one of the unboxing videos of IN Note 1, it was found out that the smartphone does not register more than 2 fingers while playing games. This means playing games like COD and others which require more than 2 fingers will be unplayable on the Micromax IN Note 1. This could have been the biggest blunder of 2020 if it was the limitation of the display but thankfully it is not.
After examining the problem, Micromax immediately confirmed through a demo video on Twitter that this is not an issue and their display does support 10 points multi-touch input. The problem arises due to their 3 finger gesture for taking screenshots which overrides the multi-touch input and stops it from registering 3 fingers to avoid taking accidental screenshots. Micromax shared a video in which disabling the 3 finger gesture for taking screenshot solved this problem and the phone’s display was able to register 10 fingers at a time. This isn’t a 100% solution and we hope Micromax slowly starts fixing these tiny bugs by taking feedback from users and irons out the software making it more and more stable over time. You should join the Micromax Forum where you can report bugs and hopefully, the software team will work to fix them. Kudos to Micromax for swiftly communicating with the users about the glitch.
